Switching to what you have posted, I think many will be happy with the PM (Private Mail) option, which doesn't involve a re-captcha and giving out our actual email, unless we want. Yes we can have our email public as well, but the point is, we can contact each other with a click and a message, instead of a longer process.

SMF is open source which should also save on cost and staying current, as it's supported world wide by people who share their creations and features. There is much better spam and fake account blocking, and depending on how you set it up, there can be something like, 5 posts, before someone new can start a new topic. Which mean a BOT can't just drop in and fill the forum with spam or gibberish that has links and more links for some fake SEO.

I know you guys doing tyhe work know this, but just a comment for the rest. I think roughly 100% of the people who have come here and will come here, will like it better.
