From what I can remember an old timer from New Orleans had a bunch of c&s Pals Club (400-600 or more) and also a bunch (I believe a lot!!) of hot stamped Pals which he said were from the Pals Club in New Orleans. It was verified by the, as Gene Trimble used to say, “friend of the hobby” that there was a Pals Club (probably in 1937)
I’m not going to argue the point but the attribution is good enough for me and probably better than the $5 El Cortez c&s Las Vegas attribution.
