The whole purpose of this exercise is to explain that we should have 100% verified information in the form of where a chip is from. By saying a chip was found in a box with all other chips from a certain area does not mean that particular chip came from that area. I am involved with this every day in the past 32 years in France, Spain and Belgium, that because the chip is found with the Belgian chips doesn't mean it's from Belgium.
I'd love to see a positive ID but, the way the page was mentioning two possible locations and listing it as Nevada was not accurate.
There was no proof other than people saying the chip was Tahoe.
There was no proof the chip that came out of the box with every other chip in the box from Reno/Tahoe is from Reno or Tanoe.
There is no proof that even if the box of chips were in the Reno vault, that the chipm is from Reno/Tahoe.
All anyone needs to do is produce proof where the chip is from, inform ChipGuide and they will decide where to assign the chip .
The way the chip is now listed opens the door to anyone who has info in updating the listing with as much Solid info as possible...
All I showed with all that was published and then presented to ChipGuide did not have one stitch of proof that we need in order to meet our obligation in education...
The "I am so sure it is from..." is not proof and, I had a lot of that presented to me by folks who do their best in what they do but, I was not convinced since nobody, nobody, showed me proof... and I simply passed on that NO PROOF...
