I always enjoyed talking to Felix on my trips to Lovelock. He
always told me the story of how his dad was killed at his daughter’s
wedding reception at the Riverside Hotel in Reno. That’s him
dealing the wheel in the postcard. He also had the Big Meadow
Hotel. I remember talking with Jack Davin at his sports shop
next to Felix’s. Stiff was the actual name of the guys that had
the gas station. Sturgeon’s is now called the C-Punch named
after the owner’s ranch. The owner of the Windmill restaurant
was a friend of Hoot Gibson and had some D4C chips for sale.
