They, along with many other collecting communities had no idea we existed.
How many times have we read here while a chipper asking for obsolete chips at an antique shop, mall and especially in a casino, are told... "Oh, I never knew people collected casino chips" ?
My first thought back then was that it seemed strange that the B.P.O.E. collectors had no idea those chips they had were being collected by collectors such as themselves because we hardly tell anyone who we are or that we exist exist as a club...
We just walked away from our 35th convention and jow many new members did we sign up? In what collectables publications did we tell anyone who we were and where we were going to gather while in the same breath invite them to come visit with us? How many of those who collect casino chips and design their own chips to build playable sets were at our convention performing, doing what they love doing on PCF?
Sure we did a great job in advertising in Las Vegas... but why not elsewhere?
