I didn't see any Bald Eagle or American flag on my screen which is a shame as yes, I would have taken it a lot differently. I actually have quite a good (although sometimes, slightly warped) sense of humour so yes, I would have just laughed as it would have been amusing.
I had no problem with anything else you said and can see your point in the context of the discussion but as I said, that was not MY point.
Seems to be more of a misunderstanding than anything but as I said, I wasn't actually offended so no apology needed.
