They are not devalued as none are on the market.
The purpose of this is to allow us to adequately cover things like rising convention costs, admin costs, storage, without having to increase fees to dealers etc.
Maybe we would be able to discount fees on additional tables then.
And to answer that point on table fees, they are lower now than they were 15 years ago, and are not even close to covering the convention costs on their own. That's why we need to have an annual raffle and auction, to subsidise the show.
YET, people continue to complain the fees are too high and entry should be free. Who exactly should be covering the deficit?
Only two other casino properties in Vegas are prepared to offer us what we need for our convention. One of those wants over double the price, the other one over 5 times.
