Jim,
You are absolutely correct in your comments. The MoGH is dead. I made a comment last month that the MoGH should be disbanded and have a constitutional proposal to add 2 members to the CCA Bod. One as a MoGH Director and the other as a Director at Large all with full voting rights. Those positions would be filled by the membership nominating and electing those individuals.
Under the current leadership, nothing has been done to further the goals set forth by the founding members. The MoGH fund is shrinking as is the interest. While Charles has done a decent job with the ChipGuide he lacks accountability with his demeanor and ability to lead. I asked him at the last Board mtg what plans he had for the MoGH. His reply was vague and without any substance. He had to refer to Vice Chair Jim Follis to answer for him. Charles alone controls the codes to the Chip Guide and that is problematic. The ChipGuide is owned by the CCA yet I don't know of anyone else that has access to those codes. I sure didn't as President.
It's time for the membership to get involved and act so that the remaining assets and bank funds do not dwindle down to nothing.
I plan in the next couple of weeks to send proposals to the MoGH Bod and CCA Bod to allow the proposal to appear as a ballot. The outcome will be tenuous at best that it be approved and presented to the membership for a vote considering the Current CCA Bod.
