The Chip Board Recent Archive

Thanks, Torrey.

The only intent for having hoard alerts on the ChipGuide is to provide factual information to collectors to help them with their collections. I fully agree that the information changes all the time and is impossible to keep up with. But that is no different from any other information on the ChipGuide. We are adding around 50 new items and making 150 updates per day on average. We will never have all the information, just the information that is provided to us, hopefully when it is available. I can remove all the hoard information on the ChipGuide, but I have yet to hear a convincing reason why knowledge of hoards is not of interest to collectors. I certainly want to know, when I am making purchase or trading/selling a chip, if there has been a recent find. Maybe the info should be somewhere else, but where?
