I played my first slot machine at Fitzgeralds Reno
In Response To: Fitzgerald's Reno stuff... grin ()

But - it wasn't near the arch at that time, but on Virginia Street, north side of downtown. The white hotel building. So it seems Fitzgeralds must have moved "across town" by the early 2000's. The slot game? Oh, I was playing the lowest amount - a penny per spin, maybe a quarter per spin, whatever. And a message came up, saying that if I wanted the bonus, I had to bet at a higher level. I think I turned down "Mr. Lucky" and called it a night, maybe I had won a dollar or two. By the time I returned to Reno, full of bravado and ready to bet $100 per spin -- Fitzgeralds had closed down, never to reopen in Reno.
