~~~ I have no idea what game went on that date to have it engraved on the silver dial (balance of counter is MOP and jewel movements such as in a fine watch) or why every counter collector in the World passed it on eBay along with there only being a few bids since there is nothing like it in the Whist Counted Museum or on any collector's site I visited along without receiving any responses by the curator of a museum, counter collers or those in general who have antique items from the day, except for asking "Is it for sale?"
Granted, the auction description was probably the reason the BIG collectors of counters didn't notice it but, the lack of responses; even with my solid Ivory and MOP counter which was also passed over while on eBay, gets no responses for information other than asking if it's for sale... and here we are constantly responding to posts asking questions on the club board..
One collector responded in actually saying "you expect us collectors who hqve been researching for 30 and 40 years to give you info for your eBay sales?" and I have had a few of those in other areas...
The cards even revolve on rubies.
