The Problem with the MoGH

I am glad that there have been posts made concerning the MoGH. It is time for all Club members to fully understand the problem. There is no leadership at the top.

Charles is only concerned with the ChipGuide which he does satisfactorily. He has assumed many times the role of ChipGuide Police. His attitude is a detriment to the MoGH and as far as I am
concerned to the Club as well.

I have had many run-ins with him where he has filed claims against me and made derogatory comments because he felt he was above any oversight.

There is a wealth of well-known consultants as well as an advisory panel and he has ignored all of them.

A Business plan was prepared for the MoGH BoD by Sandra Harris followed by an Action Plan. The total cost to the MoGH was $14,000. As of today, nothing has been done to implement the directives in those reports.

Charles has been Chairman of the MoGH twice in the years I was on the MoGH BOD. At our last confrontation, I specifically asked him and Jim Follis when they sought election what their plans were for the future of the MoGH and all I got was silence.

There was supposed to be a 1-year plan and a 5-year plan developed to move forward. That has not happened.

Complacency will not move the MoGH forward. I always believed the MoGH was the future of the Club but now I have second thoughts. I have stated before and I will say it again that the MoGH Board should be dissolved and increase the number of CCA BoD members by one and also add a Director at large both being voting positions.

The major expenditures are the storage areas. These are nothing but a space filled with cluttered boxes with no real organization. A sad testament to all the fine donations made. I don't know how many opportunities we had in the past to receive donations only to lose them as no one wanted to have their donation put in a storage area. Here is a photo below of one of the storage spaces. This is what your donation is paying for.

Look at the finances and you will see a slow drain on the money in the account as there is no real Income producing effort that will offset the expenses.

There are $500 display cases being stored that have no value in terms of income. I don't know of any effort to obtain new locations for exhibits.

The question that has to be asked when donations are being made is "What are you going to do with the money and how do you know that your wishes will be followed"
