I recall the expense, back then, was significant to me. To some degree, it still is, but the purpose behind it, created an even greater intrinsic value.
That purpose was a fundraiser for the MoGH, and I believe that that is a worthy purpose and it can be continued with the remaing 54 chips.
Since they were first offered, we now have more members and the MoGH itself has developed a Promotions activity and is always looking for other fundraising ideas.
I believe the MoGH would be very fortunate to be able to obtain the full amount that you sought to achieve back then. I also believe the MoGH would be honored to continue your effort, in your name, if you were to consider donating the balance of the chips as a fundraising project for the MoGh. These MoGH Promotional chips could be offered at the Annual Conventions and through other means at the $100 level until sold out.
At that point, your original idea and purpose will be completed and will have provided the MoGH with $10,000 in your name.
You did a grand thing back then, and I applaud your willingness to ask the opinions of others. Regardless of what you do with your chips, I thank you for the earlier efforts. I am happy and glad to have mine. 54 other members may have the same desire.
Respectfully,
Jim
