In local Long Island news today, a deal has been made by the Las Vegas Sands to lease land that used to house the Nassau Coliseum, called the Nassau Hub, for a casino. It's only 10 minutes from my home. Let's see if it actually happens and how long it will take. The only "casinos" in the NYC area are the Resort World @ Aqueduct Race Track in Queens, by JFK airport, and Empire City at Yonkers Race Track. Further out on Long Island is Jake's 58 Casino. All are slots only casinos, no table games. Can't wait for some Sands Long Island chips.
