I personally never pick up anything posted on the board because of the reasons I suggested before. It's not special to you. I haven't posted Doug's image either, and I won't. Someone else may. Since colors may vary on images, I want to see the descriptions. I also want any other information I can get about the item. Finally, I am more comfortable if the submitter has stated that they own the image and are explicitly giving permission for the Chip Guide to use the image according to the Chip Guide's rules.
If you are suggesting that I was rude before, I apologize. I actually tried to be as polite as possible. Personally, I would be more happy if no admin ever picked up anything off of the Board. The inconsistency results in hurt feelings, as we see here. What I have suggested are the actual rules for posting. Admins are allowed to waive those rules and take submissions in other ways. I am willing to take submissions directly to me, but only if there is a good reason for the exception. For example, if someone has 30 items to provide. Filling out the form 30 times can be burdensome. Doing it for one item does not take a lot of time.
If there is a good reason why you are unable to submit using the Chip Guide submission form, please e-mail me and we can work something out.
