THE CASINO CLUB IS ON A STREET THAT RUNS PARALLEL WITH THE I-5 FREEWAY, THAT RUNS THROUGH REDDING CALIFORNIA. AT THE TIME I STOPPED IN THERE, I WAS DRIVING MY EXPEDITION AND I BELIEVE I WAS HEADED UP TO MONTANA FOR A FAMILY REUNION. IT WAS IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON AND AFTER LOOKING FOR THE BRICK AND MORTAR BUILDING CALLED THE CASINO CLUB FOR A WHILE I DECIDED TO STOP AT A GAS STATION (NO GPS) AND GET DIRECTIONS.
ONE OF THE DEALERS AT MY FAVORITE HANG OUT IN OCEANSIDE AT OCEANS ELEVEN ASKED ME TO SAY HI TO EVERYONE AFTER HE LEARNED THAT I WOULD BE STOPPING THERE TO GRAB A FEW CHIPS. THIS IS WHERE LONNIE HAD LEARNED HIS CRAFT WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER. NOW I HEAR THAT HE IS A SHIFT FLOOR MANAGER AT OCEANS ELEVEN.
THERE WAS A COUPLE OF TABLES OPEN AND GOING STRONG ALREADY, ONE OF THEM APPEARED TO BE ONE OF THOSE ALL NIGHTER TYPE TABLES.
THEIR CHIPS WERE A MIXTURE OF WAFER THIN H/C’s AND THE NEW BJ CHIPS. AND THEY STILL HAD A FEW COMMEMORATIVES IN THE $5 RACKS. I DID GET SOME HELP LOOKING BY THE CASHIER. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR I HAD ENOUGH OF WHAT I WANTED, MOSTLY THE BJ CHIPS BECAUSE THERE WERE RELATIVELY NEW AT THIS TIME WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN AROUND 2005.
I DID NOT GET ENOUGH OF THE H/C’S; BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT WORTH COLLECTING, NEITHER $5, $1 OR THE 50c CHIPS. I DID GET ENOUGH OF THE BJ $1 PINK CHIPS AND ABOUT 4 OF THE $5 COMMEMORATIVES. I TIPPED THE CASHIER AND ASKED THE FASTEST WAY TO THE FREEWAY GOING NORTH AND HEADED TOWARDS CANYONVILLE MY NEXT HARVEST…REGGIE
