I get the concern, but these ceramics have a life span..... They fade and ruin fast. They are easy to detect. If one buys on ebay you have a level of protection. eBay will address chips or other merch sold as counterfeit.

I'd be concerned about the chips made directly by Paulson on a base chip identical to real chips.

That said, I will echo my comment. Buy from reputable sellers, know your hobby, research chips before you buy. I don't know anyone who doesnt research a chip, especially a rare or semi rare chip before buying. To suggest that someone comes into a hobby willy nilly and doesnt research is a bit ludacris to me.
