it sounds like a few people didn't understand why the Chip Guide needs to have people attribute scans they use from the Chip Guide. Clearly, most of the posters in that thread cared more about harassing the Chip Guide poster than having a reasonable conversation or even trying to understand why the Chip Guide was requesting attributions. In any case, in that thread, the Chip Guide is not suggesting anyone is not welcome to the hobby or the CCA. The Chip Guide is not the hobby or the CCA. I really don't see your point, Dave. Nothing I read suggests that people wouldn't welcome pcf posters into the singles hobby or the CCA.
It does seem like some people like to suggest that posts by a few represent everyone from a particular group. I can tell you I have seen posts here that seem belligerent for no reason by people who happen to be pcf members. I don't assume that you are like that. It would be ridiculous to do so. In fact, I have had a few transactions on pcf. I was very happy with all of them.
If someone's purpose is to pick a fight, I don't need that personally. Anyone else I would welcome to this site, the hobby, any chip club they want to join, whatever.
As for the comment that you are one of those people, I am surprised someone made that remark to you. You have been a part of this board for many years now, and even if not, I don't understand the purpose of it. Why does anyone care if you collect one chip or barrels? I guess there are difficult people in every group.
Keep doing what you do. I like seeing pictures of your sets. And remember that the most vocal do not always represent the majority. This is a hobby. Let's continue having fun.
