~~~ after the final walkthrough inspection, the transaction was held on a BJ table and, according to someone present that day; "Howard Hughes, himself 'and not Summa' was the sole purchaser."

What happend afterwards, I have no idea... but, this is exactly what I was told by someone legally involved in the closing that day...
