Hi Eric, I was at the Shalimar restaurant back in the 1980s a Persian man owned it and he made the licious Kibbeh Nieh. …. Kind of like a steak tartare only made with lamb. He also made the best chicken kebabs I’ve ever had later became the Howard Johnson’s hotel and he became a Cuban restaurant for years recently. It has reverted back to the Shalimar.
