Hello Canadian chippers, I am Sean Tangney and have been collecting for about 15 years now and live in Toronto. I collect $1.00 chips by location and recently started adding $1.00 tokens from casino's that never produced a $1.00 chip. Over the years I have traded with a few fellow Canadians but have never met any of you in person. I have no idea how many of us collector's are north of the boarder and if there is any interest in creating a mailing list of some sort that describes your collection and the type of chips you are looking for and any trades you would be interested in. I see there are clubs in different area's across the U.S. and as far as I know there is not anything up here in the great white north. As many of you know the mailing costs associated with buying chips from down south is ever increasing and depending on the purchase the duty is a burden as well. Depending on the level of response it may be a win win for all of us and who knows could even lead to a trading session somewhere in our vast land. I would like to hear from some of you as to your thoughts on something like this or if you have any ideas that could help us grow our hobby and our collections.
