Your photo shows the start of Washoe Hill. The concrete
divider was added because so many people got killed by
drunk drivers. There was a bar on the right on the other
side called the Washoe Bar. It’s gone now. When the new
freeway went in hardly anyone used the road anymore.
It’s called Old Hwy 395 now.
