Dial "M" for Mystery

I noticed in today's new chips listed in the Chip Guide a $25 chip with a little M under the denomination. What does the M stand for? I also know of some old Lookout House chips, that were ordered by Jimmy Brink, that have a little M by the denom. With the Lookout House chips, the M has no connection to the name of the club or owner. I read that the USPC Co. made chips with Large Crowns and Hub molds for distributors in the late 1920's. Is is possible chips may have gone to Mason & Co. for stamping and this was just some sort of distributors mint mark or signature. It's a far fetched idea. Does anyone really Know? The little "M" is a big mystery.
