As for Sparks, John Ascuaga's Nugget had a nice room downstairs with about a dozen tables. Most games were low limit, $1-3 and $1-5 spread Hold'em. The Silver Club across the street had a single table until Karl Berge built a larger hotel/casino in '84. The new club had a five-table room upstairs that struggled but had a nice pot-limit game on Wednesdays for about six months that helped pay my bills.
