After about a 15 year hiatus, now retired I am sticking a toe back into the chip collecting hobby that I so loved previously. I'm not very up to speed on current policies, but I take it that trading and commerce is cool over the board publicly rather than just privately??

I think I'm just going to collect joker themed chips and chips from places I've played. Saving a chip from places I played is how collecting started with me and probably with most of us. Locales I have played in include mostly Vegas, Tunica, Atlantic City, Biloxi, Southern Indiana, Ohio. I think I am just going to do $1 chips from those locales, and maybe expand a bit into anything irresistible they put out.

One of my former specialties was $1 obsoletes from Las Vegas. The only two I have left from that original collection are the two pictured below. I loved the hobby and claimed something about it as "gold in the soul" ... funny, that's a title of a book I did totally unrelated to chips or collecting.

The two Vegas oldies I still have are an old Golden Gate and a Pioneer.
