In 1961 Robert and Mary Brooks partnered with Philip and Myrtle Greene to open "The Prunedale Club" in Prunedale, now known as Salinas, Ca.
Partnership did not last long, and the dissolution ended up in court. According to court records the Brooks previously owned and operated a
"Gold Rush Club" and the "Two Brooks", but no addresses given for those clubs. The address on this ashtray is very possibly in Seaside, Ca., once called East Monterey. All of these places are in Monterey County, Ca. I am wondering if this ashtray is from the Brooks former club, and whether any gambling was known at that location in Seaside.
