The chips were all released to the public with a gold hot stamp cancellation mark on each side which, in fact, was easily removed on some chips where the hot stamp was lightly stamped. I am not implying that your chip did somehow escape to the public uncancelled, (it's New Orleans we are talking about) but in most cases you have to make sure and look very close to see if there are any traces of the pressure marks present on said chip made by the cancellation stamping.
