Signaling device? Wow, so they are going to need to scan people before they come in to play. Not only that, using the trash can and the Astros stealing signals, someone who knew the hands, could say a trigger word, cough, or somehow signal. That might be complicated as someone outside, who could see the cards, would need to signal someone inside, who would need to discreetly signal the player.
If this sounds distant, remember Bringing the House Down (If I remember the right book) where the counters stood aside and watched tables and signaled players who weren't recognize by a casino. That was just eyes, no electronics. And signals when the count was positive.
Anyway, she could be honest, but why does the story change. That's a sure sign of someone who just got caught at something and is changing their defense. I think if she was doing something under the table, those of you who know this well and are in tune, will see her play suddenly change. Sudden long loosing streak would be a sure tell. 🗡
