~~~ it will probably consist of way more members who will vote than the total of HOF members who now vote, even though membership participation has always been poor since club leadership nominees have lways been very popular where whomever wins most everyone would be happy with the results as we have always been from day one and that is probably why the turnout is so low because we would be in good hands no matter what events may take place as we seen not too long ago... but, all that is as different as is day and night when it comes to the HOF and has been very noticeable to the effect of it having a much larger turnout and more of a personal thing than a club business thing and, to give you a perfect example; there have been posts here stating that HOF members might not know who was recommended and then became a nominee to have their name on a list and handed to a handful of members and say, here, now go and vote if you feel up to it... It's not good, Mark, because there is no personal touch as there would be with those who worked and played side by side witn each other for as long as they have been chippinbg.. and, this is not any discredit to any one of our HOF members, of course, but what we are all reading here through the years and up to this very day with membership posting who they would like to see as a HOF member and even thinking they are nominating someone as Jim Munding shows us that if membership had this HOF thing in their hand it would take off at a level never seen before in our club...and, the only problem I see is trying to figure out a number of how many being recommended will have the honor in standing tall since most of them know it was a friendly and loving way to give them that honor they so much deserve and not a small group who we would have to try and convince who they are and what they did for the club and hobby and not havinhnro keep hearing over in over and over to virtually write a book to convince someone.who might not know them..... Not sure how the nomination process should be handled and that could be decided by our fine leadership.,Thanks for your post, Mark.
