I am surprised that no one mentioned that in addition to having table games the casino is HUGE. I have never stayed there but there are lots of other hotels within walking distance and hundreds of restaurants from greasy spoons to Michelin rated places within walking distance in the French Quarter. There also are several shopping areas just south of the casino that have restaurants. I am sure the hotel rooms are very nice but have always been very high priced compared to the competition and hotels in New Orleans are not cheap to begin with.
