~~~ they do not attract the tens of thousands of visitors any huge convention center does when a Numismatic event such as the ANA or FUN or even a well organized collectibles event such as an antiques or memorabilia event does and, it is those types of events that the CCA needs to be associated with and any cost since there is no way that the CCA can get that type of exposure in some hotel conference room.
There is a thread below where I stress this and the newly elected president said that a club hospitality table at the ANA would cost us approx. $5000... which, according to my brain is less than five bucks per CCA member. I do not see any other choice other than the CCA to have a table at such events; exhibit at such events and our members having tables at such events if we really want to grow our membership... and, the bottom line has been telling us this in the last 30 years you mentioned. We are spinning our wheels while giving it a lot of effort though, in the wronb arena...
I have no other idea how we can get the exposure we need.
