First of all I have no animosity toward any of the general membership of the CCA I have a great many friends in the organization. Its the policies of this organization since Jerry left that really bothers me. And the way things were handled leading to Jerry's resignation. He was one of the best presidents this club ever had. He was all about making things better. But obviously he stepped on some toes, regarding issues like trade sessions, an updated club website, conflict of interest regarding board members, and a number of other issues. So the remaining board members voted against him.
The chip hobby is in great shape contrary to all the comments made hear. Their are 1000's of people out there that don't belong to any formal club, and they like it that way. Many of my best chip collecting friends don't belong to the CCA and have no desire to ever become members. Some have been members in the past, and after their first year decided to not renew their membership.
The good news is this recent election is only temporary for those 2 positions. The next real election for those positions will soon begin. Lets see how that turns out. I'm guessing it will be a very interesting election. If positive changes are not made, the club membership will continue to diminish. And I know there are many CCA members that feel the same way I do, they are part of the 900+ members that " didn't " vote in this last election.
