You would have stayed a member if Eric had won? And that's because you think he's a better person to run the club? Or, as I might expect, you think that would make the CCA weaker which serves this SNCCC breakaway better?
For the life of me I can't figure this out Walt. I always thought you were cool with the club. I enjoyed seeing and talking to you each year. I just can't wrap my head around this animosity continuing even after the membership has spoken.
This is all really confusing to me. I liked Jerry too. He worked hard for the club, and I liked talking with him, but remember that HE QUIT. And he quit right before the most important annual event for the club leaving those in charge scrambling. I saw it first hand. Most attendees have no idea the chaos that was sorted out before the doors opened. I find it a miracle it went as well as it did.
So I guess if the point was to weaken the club, it succeeded. We used crucial club funds in having to run a special election, less than a year after the regular election where an unhappy candidate could have chosen not to run. I don't know what it cost the club to mail out nomination forms to all members, but it probably wasn't cheap.
So if the goal was the hurt the CCA, then congratulations. Mission accomplished.
I say we move on.
