I sure can't think of anything else away from coin shows in exhibiting what we collect in trying to attract new members other than maybe antique shows... Otherwise, though our convention and some of the smaller shows are mostly for membership having fun, there isn't anything I see on a National/International level where we are building on to membership...
Kind of sad to see that our club newsletter attract 2-thousand subscribers and our membership doesn't attract even 33% of of those or that PCF has 10-thousand members and that we don't attract even 10% of those members.
Either maybe the Internet is our future and having 10-thousand or 25-thousand subscribers to our newsletter who don't pay a dime is considered wonderful and maybe not trying to think of something more to do other than what we have been and not just spinning our wheels and not getting anywhere near to where we should be as far as membership and only be concerned about having fun is all we need to do...Like I said, I can't think of anything else other than coin shows or antique shows....
BTW, the reason why I joined the CCGTCC was because I saw a 1x1 column ad in one of the numismatic tabloids I subscribed to and, I seriously doubt I was the only one who saw that ad and joined.
I ain't giving up and jumping ship...
