The Swanky Club was located on the Boulder Hiway about where the Joker's Wild casino is today.
They were known for their buffet which they called a smorgasbord. In the 70s the gambling
consisted of a few slots and a single 21 game. The dealer was a guy by the name of Frankie
Carr who I remember playing the lounge at Harvey's in 1966. You'd be playing 21 and suddenly
he would go into his act (singing). The photo appears to be late 40s, shortly after opening in 1947.
