One of our rituals when in Las Vegas is to head down to what we call the Seed, Fremont Street. A few trips ago I discovered a few Sliver Strike Machines. My Favorite game is Craps and there have been very few hot rolls over the years including this trip. This year blew through 100's in no time on the tables and did not even get one beer ! LOL So we decided to go Downtown and hit the sliver strike machines. 1st Stop El Cortez. After finding a parking place we entered the casino and could not find the one Sliver Strike Machine that was in there. We found out it was removed form the floor 6 months ago. So it was off to the four Queens to find those machines. Sure enough they were still there full of those encapsulated shinny beauties. For 100.00 the wife and I played the machines for quite some time and had a couple of rounds of Miller lights. The Fun part is when the Sliver Strike Hits the carousel turns around and a coin drops out into a compartment We did very well Striking 7 times. The next day I stoped by the Sliver Strikers Table on the Showroom Floor. As suspected these are no longer Silver.... BUT when you collect 30 of these you can trade them in for one large solid silver strike. I think he said it was with 5 or 10 once's of silver. So for a hundred dollars we had Beer, Silver Strikes and more fun than a Barrel of Monkeys. Will be saving up to hit that 30 by next year. Cheers to the Silver Strikers.
