I always ask for a late check out as I take the red eye back. In Dec I was told I can have the room to only 1PM as they needed it. I saw a host and I said I want a room, charge me if you have to. I don't care.

On line at 6pm to check out I get a text that my flight was canceled. I told the women at the desk I was about to check out but my flight was just canceled. She said the host gave me the night so I was lucky to have a room. Now I just always book an extra night. Problem Solved.
