I travel with rolled coins all the time

I keep them in a large clear plastic zip-lock bag and pull it out of my bag and place it separately in a bin on the conveyor. If I can get the x-ray operator's attention, I'll say there's a bag of rolled coins coming through to put them at ease. It has substantially reduced the number of times I get a secondary inspection.

When I return home, I generally have hundreds of elongated coins. If I don't pre-ship them home, I'll do the clear bag and an explanation again.

I use pre-check, so I am able to concentrate on this one thing and don't have to worry about shoes, computers, belts, etc.
