Found a few tidbits about the Snowshoe Lodge from newspaper archives. Dates agree with Fuller's Index. It opened as the Snowshoe Lodge in late 1953 (formerly the Bavarian Inn). Was able to obtain a gaming license in Dec. 1953 with James B Jeffress, William C Hoover, and Leon Harbert as operators. It was apparently located in the Sky Tavern ski area and was active in the local ski scene while open. Seems like they had troubles paying their taxes and bills and by May 1957, Bobet's was operating at the location. One of my favorite ashtray logos of all time.
