Good Day Chippers; We are almost packed and ready to go. To my hold service customers, if you have not settled up; please do so. I can not mail your stuff on Saturday (they close at noon), Sunday (closed), Monday (it is a holiday) and we are leaving early on Tuesday morning. I will have already have mailed your chips. You should have had an invoice or two in your in box.
And to those of you that have not read this already; today will be my last post with “goodies for sale” until sometime around the 4th week of June. I will be available via email, while trekking all over Montana and while in Las Vegas.
To those of you that will be attending the convention, I will see you there.
Reggie
Every Day I post:
3 Single CA chips
1 Single NV chip
1 Single Other States etc.
1 Single MT chip
1 Set of Chips
1 Nevada Featured Chip & 2 California Featured Chips
1-3 Page(s) of California Chips (for as long as I can make it last)
1 Page of Cheap Chips page whenever I can find enough strays to put the pages together. (not available currently-but hopefully I can do this after the convention)
And on every Saturday another “SPOTLIGHTED SPECIAL FEATURE CHIP(S)”
Years ago while I was doing “My Page-A-Day” I would publish one of these “Chipper Tips”. I am going to try to include one each Saturday, up date it if I feel it needs it. Hopefully, this will still help a few of us remember to do the right thing when the subject matter is in question and folks if I am wrong PLMK, sincerely…Reggie
#1) Try to be an equal partner in the trade, do not make one party of the trade do all the work.
#2) I try not to do lateral trading. In other words; I do not like to trade any chips I only have one of for another chip I do not have any of; and I have it in my personal collection already.
#3) Commons for commons, Current table chips for current table chips, new racks for new rack.
#4) Denominations should be handled the same as commons, in most cases a $5 chip for a $5 chip.
#5) The obsolete group…these have to be traded based on the Guides valuation. And/or the asking price.
#6) It is always up to the two people that own the two chips that want to trade; to be satisfied with the trade. It is a trade when it is mutually acceptable to both parties.
#7) I prefer to trade with CCA members, because of the honesty of this group is impeccable. I do and have made trades with non-members.
#8)Try not to send severely nicked, damaged, or extremely dirty chips.
#9) A trading policy, is usually never the same with any two chip collectors, try to briefly explain your trading policy up front as soon as possible, in order to circumvent any surprises.
#10) Always let the trading partner know when you receive your chips.
* I will trade Postcards, CA, MT or NV chips for MT chips.
I still have a considerable amount of post cards available (about 440). I have an excel I can send you to check out. From your viewing of the post cards available in the excel; you can order one post card, all the postcards that have your favorite casino included in, or buy me out (the entire lot). Remember there will be postage for each order.
