The Silver Spur was always one of my stops in Carson City although the live games were gone
by the time it closed in 1973. One time the owner took me upstairs and let me rummage around
and take what I wanted. I got several boxes of pink one dollar chips and partial boxes of fives and
twenty-fives. I also got a couple hands-ful of drink tokes and slot machine points. He sure was a
nice guy. Many obsolete chips I got for my collection were just given to me.
