I must have missed something in "A hard day's night" then as yes, he shouts bingo but then has to resort to conning another punter to get the 2 x £5s when out of funds to play at the end. Maybe not a run of luck as such but then he did have some decent company so...............
The £10 and £50 are also seen in the Beatles film but (being black and white) they are hard to see and not onscreen for long.
Trivial but interesting fact, Victor Harrington is the bit-part actor who was not only in "Dr No" and "A hard day's night" but also "From Russia with love" along with "Casino Royale" (Peter Niven one) and the only other film that I know of that was actually filmed in the casino itself, "The man who haunted himself" and boy, did he like cigars.
If you don't mind me asking Bob, what serial numbers are your top 3 denominations? Almost the full set, just missing the very hard to distinguish £1000 to complete it.
I keep hearing that the replicas are a disappointment to many but considering the way that they make plaques has changed quite a bit since 1961, they could have been a lot worse.
