Yes, they had a "Prize Patrol" roaming the casino and would sometimes tap a player on the shoulder to offer a free gift or a chance for some cash. One such stunt involved tossing two cubic pillows with dots on the sides - the pillow represented dice and the lucky person would be paid something based on what spots came up. I've never seen that one done at any other casino. Barona also offers fee-free ATM's for those who want more cash. Oh, and on rare rainy days - the casino raises the "points" on player's club cards, say, 6X Points during a shower. I once walked in, slightly wet, and told the Hostess, "It's raining outside!" To which she responded, "Yes, 5X Points to everyone right now! Hurry up and start playing!" They know how to push my buttons.
They have a "gate-keeper" along the driveway to the casino and to get in, you're supposed to wave to him as you go by. Typical fun in the Sovereign Republic of Baronia.
