Rather than look at it as donating an image to the ChipGuide, I believe we should look at it as donating a file that just happens to be an image (.JPG, .PNG, etc.) When we donate a chip image that is really a file when you get down to it, we all still own the version of it that resides on our hard drive, cloud storage, etc. The ChipGuide admins take that file, edit it, crop it, shake n bake it, and finally, they rename it. THEY (the ChipGuide) own that new file after they alter it. That's the way I look at this whole question of who owns what.
