I don't have photos, but there is paint peeling from some of Michigan's PL8s, and the state now has a rule that you cannot renew a plate over 10 years old - you must get a new one. Our replacement fee for standard plates is $5. I get a new one every 3-4 years because I can't break my collecting habit.
