The club magazine is not the problem. Theoretically the club is not supposed to make money, but it must break even to survive. Your membership fees pays for a great award winning magazine and that is how it should be. An organization ran by business minded people who understand fiscal responsibility it what we should be working for. I was one who pushed for an outside audit and I was chastised for my strong position on this. When the convention was canceled I had paid for a dealer table and I requested my money back. No record of my transaction could be found, I went to my bank, got a copy of my canceled check and my money was refunded. This set off all kinds of red flags in my mind and I wanted make sure this was an isolated incident and not a common occurrence in our system. After the audit I felt somewhat better. If enough revenue can be made to cover everything we desire as an organization then great, go for it. If that revenue falls short we must tighten our belts and cut back things, be it the convention, the MOGH, etc
