...collectors since I haven't attended any gatherings or conventions for those collectibles: Do those conventions or shows provide attendees with separate areas outside of the show floors to trade? I truly don't know & was just wondering. I've been to numerous "pin" events (Hard Rock & Disney pins) over the years and only dealers who have bought tables are allowed to sell or trade. There's no separate room or area provided for people to come & trade. Dealers are allowed to sell, buy AND trade...but they have paid for that privilege. I know that there are many Disney pin collectors that gather in the parks at areas provided by the parks where they are allowed to trade pins. But, those people have paid to get in the park or have paid to park at the park's parking lots, so Disney is still making their cut. I have also seen people escorted out of the park for selling (not trading) pins.
So, I am curious -- do those other gatherings (ANA / coin shows, baseball card shows, etc.) provide a place for attendees to trade outside of the convention floor?
