This revelation opens several questions for me. As Editor of CCN I try to keep my opinions to myself so the magazine can keep its integrity. I have been in contact with Jerry about the convention, which I also edit. He made me aware of some of the issues. I did not realize how bad things were. Not to take away from previous Presidents, I think that Jerry has made positive moves to help the CCA & MoGH in the future as well as saving money. I wish I knew how bad things were, maybe we could have talked to find a better way. I think his resignation is a great loss for the organization.
I wish that Jerry waited till the convention to resign. This is the busiest time of the year for the organization. I know because I work on the program. Last year was tough because of Steve P's death. Jerry jumped in and ran with it. This year has been running much better till now. I am very concerned about meeting printing dates in order to get the program to the convention on time.
Mr. Spragg in reference to "We will respond where appropriate to other matters raised in this letter in due time." I hope you will abstain when it comes time to discuss & correct the website comes up. Our website badly needs an update, it looks like it is 20 years old, when I was learning web design.
Jerry has been a buffer for me when I have had issues in the past. He had my back. His action concerns me. I must now consider how I am going to continue relating to the organization.
Jerry, you have done great work please reconsider.
