You understand that requests to credit the Chip Guide for images taken from the Chip Guide is simply a mandatory way of protecting the images so that they are not free to anyone to use as they please? Stopping the Chip Guide from doing that will not give you any more rights to use or protect your own original images. It will only allow anyone to use the Chip Guide images in any way they want.
