When I really think about it, what I give most to the Club and hobby is my time.
Time to compose and participate in Board emails, Zoom meetings, text messages, phone calls and other forms of communication.
Time to create the monthly CCA Newsletter and work with a group of contributors, who also communicate via emails, SMS messaging and other forms.
Time to fulfill the obligations of the Vice President of the CCA, which has included processing various Claims, replying to postings on the Message Boards and received emails, and, standing in for the President when he was temporarily incapacitated with COVID. Gratefully he has recovered!
Time to purge 100's of SPAM message posts to the Club's online Message Board, and to monitor and respond to postings on the 2 CCA Facebook pages, and also the 2 MoGH Facebook pages.
Time to provide content to the Club's Award-winning magazine, the Casino Collectible News. Time to respond to posted messages about the hobby on 4 different Facebook Groups and TheChipBoard.com (the most frequented hobby-related site on the Internet).
Time to perform duties as a ChipGuide Admin, posting submissions by others, adding my own acquired content, affecting submitter updates and making corrections to past postings when I happen to see them or when brought to my attention.
Time to create EXTRA EXTRA Newsletter content for blasting late breaking news to over 2,000 subscribers of the CCA Newsletter. Time to coordinate Educational Exhibits at the annual Convention and Show (through the MoGH) and also work with others to establish and remove "Trail of the MoGH" Milestone Marker exhibits and displays in and around Las Vegas.
Time to perform duties as the MoGH Vice Chairman, which includes MoGH Board participation in Zoom meetings, email discussions, telephone calls and other forms of communication to keep the MoGH active.
I am fortunate to have this time available to me (with thanks to my wife, Pam) and I am happy to share it with all others in the Club and hobby. In return, I simply ask for a moment of your time to submit your ballot in this election cycle. And moreover, if you feel that my giving of time, over the past 4 years is worthy of your time to place a check mark by my name on the Ballot, then I will be very honored in being able to contribute even more time to this Club and the hobby for another 2 years.
Respectfully submitted,
Jim Follis Life Member 3872-53
Incumbent Candidate for Vice President
